Heart Clinic

From Initial Diagnosis to Long-Term Heart Care From your first consultation during uncertain moments to
recovery after treatment,
The Heart Clinic stays with you
throughout your heart health journey.

Preoperative Cardiovascular Risk Assessment. Accurate cardiovascular evaluation reviews your heart condition and medications to reduce potential risks before, during, and after surgery, helping patients and medical teams prepare with confidence. Recommended for patients scheduled for surgery who have a history of angina, myocardial infarction, arrhythmia, or heart failure; take antiplatelet or anticoagulant medication; have hypertension or diabetes; or face higher cardiac-complication risk.

Diagnostic Process

Based on your symptoms and risk factors, our specialists select the most appropriate tests for accurate evaluation.

Recommended
for Those Who

If any of the following apply to you,
we recommend a cardiovascular evaluation.

Do I Need to Stop Aspirin Before Knee Surgery?
Not necessarily.
The reason for aspirin use, such as protecting a coronary stent or preventing stroke,
must be weighed against the surgical bleeding risk.
Consult a cardiologist to determine whether and when to stop taking it.
How Long Does It Take to Receive a Cardiac Evaluation Report?
Required tests are completed at the first visit, and the report is usually available the next day.
Same-day issuance may be available for urgent cases. Please ask when booking.
Who Should Have a Cardiovascular Risk Assessment?
Those with hypertension, diabetes, high cholesterol, a family history of heart disease,
smoking, obesity, or abdominal obesity may benefit from an assessment.
Adults over 40 may also consider having at least one assessment.
How Is a Cardiovascular Risk Assessment Different from a General Checkup?
A general checkup evaluates your overall health.
A cardiovascular risk assessment focuses on heart and vascular health,
estimates future risk, and guides a management plan.
What Happens If My Risk Is High?
Depending on your risk factors, care may include lifestyle changes, weight management,
medication, or further testing. Early management can significantly reduce cardiovascular risk.
